HirShabelle to pick last three MPs today, ex President among candidates

GOOBJOOG NEWS|JOWHAR: HirShaballe state is today electing the last three MPs in a hotly contested race featuring among others former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.
The seats were held by Amina Mohamed who was killed in a bomb attack on March 23, current security minister Abdullahi Nur and his predecessor Mohamed Islow.
Sharif, who is also gunning for the presidency will be seeking election as MP.
HirShabelle however remains with one seat who’s fate remains unknown. Seat 38 was initially ‘won’t by National Security Advisor Fahad Yasin but was nullified by the federal elections board.
