International organizations renews commitment to support development projects in Hirshabelle
GOOBJOOG NEWS | JOWHAR: Hirshabelle state in partnership with various international organizations including World Vision, DRC ICF, and SOMREP have kicked off plans to implement various development projects within the region.
In a meeting chaired by Hirshabelle State president Ali Guudlaawe Hussein held in Jowhar, the delegation from the organizations expressed commitment to support various project in the region including the revitalization of the Shabelle river basin, agricultural advancements, and the establishment of thriving fishing communities.
They also noted the need to enhance support or humanitarian aid and youth empowerment which thy noted were key to ensuring the stability and development in the region.
President Guudlawe emphasized the pivotal role played by these organizations in fostering progress and development in areas recently liberated from the clutches of the extremist group Al-Shabaab.
He highlighted how these initiatives have the potential to significantly improve the quality of life for local communities.
The meeting served as a platform for fruitful dialogue, allowing both the President and the visiting delegation to exchange ideas and strategies and at the same time provided an opportunity to align objectives, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to development efforts within Hirshabelle State.
