Jazeera Administration Alarmed about Land Grabbing

The local administration of Jazeera town outside Mogadishu said they are very concerned about land grabbing exercise by government soldiers there.

The mayor Muhyadin Ahmed Abdulle has told Goobjoog that army officials are leading the land grabbing exercise and that he personally cannot stop it.

“They are taking the land that belong to the original residents of the town by making false documentation, I cannot personally go there to carry out my duties for security reasons, I can confirm to you that the army colonel that controls there is happy with everything going on there” said the mayor.

Goobjoog cannot independently confirm the claims by the mayor.
