Jubbaland to keep off Mogadishu Constitutional meet-minister

Jubbaland state will not attend the National Constitutional Convention slated for tomorrow in Mogadishu, the state’s constitutional affairs minister has said noting it is not aware of the event.

Aadan Ibrahim Hersi told Goobjoog News the southerly state will not be attending the conference stating, ‘We have not been given any information about it.’

The Federal Government has in the past week publicised the meeting which it said will bring together various stakeholders for the three days event to take place in Mogadishu.

Jubbaland leader Ahmed Madobe last week lashed at the Federal Government over what he termed as ‘doublespeak’ in the Gulf dispute. Despite citing neutrality, Madobe said, the Government was in bed with Qatar.

The conference will run for three days.
