Key Al-Shabaab Extortionist Killed in SNA Operation in Lower Shabelle

GOOBJOOG NEWS|LOWER SHABELLE: A key Al-Shabaab operative notoriously known for extorting farmers in the agricultural zones of the Middle Shabelle regions was killed on Monday in an operation bythe Somali National Army.

The militant leader identified as Da’ud Mohamed Maleele was killed in Beledul-Amiin area of Afgoye by the 143rd Brigade of the Somali National Army.

Melele is reported to have been involved in extortions and the forceful seizure of farm produce in Sabiid and Beledul-Amiin areas.

The death of Melele is part of the ongoing military operations in the Lower and Middle Shabelle regions.
