Middle Shabelle administration halts tribal fighting in the region

The commissioner for the Middle Shabelle and the Military Commander of the Federal Somali Armed Forces were involved in the stoppage of the local clashes in Adale location and succeeded in letting the two groups fighting to lay down their weapons.

The commissioner of Middle Shabelle Ahmed Nuure Makran town and Military Commander of the Federal Somali Armed Forces Abdullahi Ali Anood visited Bur Dheer sub-location under Adale location where the fight took place.

“The locations of the fight are good and the situation is back to normal and the fighting groups retreated. Everything is under control” said Commissioner Ahmed.

Commissioner Ahmed further said they are preparing to start negotiating process in Jowhar town by inviting the elders from the rival groups and Somali federal forces are in the fight scene to maintain security and order.

The commissioner appealed to the local people to observe peace ad pointed out that further problems will be useless while the region reeling under the effects of the long drought.
