Military bombardments reported in Basra location, Middle Shabelle region

A series of aerial bombardments hit Middle Shabelle region in southern Somalia Sunday afternoon as allied forces heighten military offensives in southern regions in the past few days.

Resident in Bulo Marerey area, located in the outskirts of Basra location in Middle Shabelle told the media military jets launched heavy bombardments on the area suspected to be harboring Al-Shabaab militants. Somali National Army said this past week it had killed three militants in Basra.
