Northern regions elections committee announces election schedule, delegates for three seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/HARGEISA: The Somaliland Parliamentary Election Management Committee has released the election schedule for three seats out of the 46 seats in the Somaliland Parliament set to be elected in Mogadishu in the coming week

The three seats are the last seats to be elected in the northern regions making the Somaliland House of the People the first house to conclude elections before the February 25 deadline set by the National Consultative Council.

The Management Committee has also announced the list of delegates for the selection of candidates for the three seats.

Registration, training and verification of candidate’s particulars has been slated for February 13-16, while the election date will be on 17/02/22, Thursday.

Below are the three seats and the sitting MPs:

HOP#264: Abdifatah Ismail Dahir.

HOP#224: Salah Ahmed Jama (former Minister of Constitution).

HOP#242: Fadum Ismail Hussein.
