Over 100 Al-Shabaab terrorists killed in HirShabelle- Somali govt

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: over 100 members of Al-Shabaab were killed in a recent operation carried out by the Somali National Army with support from pro-government militias in Somalia’s Hirshabelle state.

A press release by the Ministry of Information said a coordinated military operation by the two camps in the El-Hareeri area of Hiiraan Region resulted in a resounding defeat of the enemy, with a large number of the terrorists meeting their end.

The government has confirmed that El-Hareeri, which was previously a key hub for the terrorists, is now fully under the control of the Somali National Army and local residents.

The Army also regained control of Garas Magan, Nur Dugle, Adan Laxey, and many more areas, with the ongoing operation expected to, in the next few hours, lead to the total annihilation of the enemy from many other areas in the Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
