Over 130 Al-Shabaab Militants Killed in SNA Operation

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali National Army together with the People’s Defense Forces have killed over 130 Al-shabaab militants in separate operations in Galmudug, Hirshabelle, and Jubaland states.

According to a Statement from the Ministry of Defense, several areas under Mudug region, including Shabeloow, the main road of Adlee, Mount Yagoos, Barag Ismail area, and Ceel-dheer and Masagaway towns were liberated during the operation.

The Defense Ministry futher said that in Shabelle, the SNA forces also liberated the jungle area along the Galgudud border and Middle Shabelle, where the militants had established bases.

The Ministry also adds that extensive operations were conducted in both Middle and Lower Jubba, resulting in the elimination of several Al-Shabaab militants and an assortment of weapons and military equipment recovered.

These achievements underscores the Federal Government of Somalia’s commitment to continuing the fight against Al-Shabaab and liberate all areas within the country.
