President Deni expected to leave for Nairobi today

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GAROWE: Puntland State President Said Abdullahi Deni is said to be headed to the Kenyan capital Nairobi today, according to reliable sources.

The purpose of his trip is not immediately clear but he is expected to hold a series of meetings with Kenyan officials, businessmen and the Somali diaspora in Nairobi.

Deni’s trip comes a week after Somalia held a competitive presidential election process, where he was one of the candidates who narrowly missed the presidency after being edged out in the second round voting, and having led in the first round.
