President Mohamud Commends NISA Units for Completing Anti-Terrorism Training

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has praised the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) units that recently completed specialized anti-terrorism training.

The training, conducted by Turkish security experts, focused on advanced counterterrorism tactics. These units will now officially join ongoing operations against terrorist groups across the country.

President Mohamud emphasized that the newly trained forces will play a crucial role in the government’s efforts to weaken terrorist networks and enhance national security. He urged Somalis to support the national forces in their fight against extremism.

He also expressed deep appreciation to the Turkish government for its continued assistance in strengthening Somalia’s security sector. Encouraging the troops, he called on them to stay committed to their oath and their duty to defend the nation.

This development is part of a broader initiative to bolster Somalia’s security forces through international partnerships, aiming to eliminate terrorism and foster long-term stability.
