President Mohamud Convenes NCC Summit for Federal and Regional Leaders

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has convened a National Consultative Council Summit for federal and regional leaders on April 21-22 in Mogadishu.

The Summit will bring together leaders from Federal Member States including Puntland, Jubbaland, South West, Galmudug, and HirShabelle and also the Mayor of Mogadishu who is also the Governor of the Benadir Regional Administration.

Among the issues included in the agenda for the Summit are major national issues such as counter-terrorism efforts and the completion of the country’s constitution.

The leaders will also use the summit to iron out the contentious issues in the country’s constitution so as to create a consensus between the Federal Government and Federal Member States.
