President Mohamud Meets Ugandan, Kenyan leaders in Arusha

GOOBJOOG NEWS | ARUSHA: Federal government of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held talks with the Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni and Kenya’s William Ruto on the sidelines of the East African Community (EAC) Summit in Arusha, Tanzania.

The discussions focused on advancing regional integration, enhancing trade and economic partnerships, and strengthening security cooperation to address shared challenges in the Horn of Africa.

President Mohamud reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to fostering deeper ties with fellow EAC partner states, recognizing that collective efforts are essential for achieving regional stability and sustainable development.

At the same time, the president commended Presidents Museveni and Ruto for their visionary leadership and dedication to regional progress, emphasizing Somalia’s readiness to contribute to the East African Community’s shared goals.

These engagements reflect a mutual resolve to promote peace, prosperity, and collaboration across the region.
