GOOBJOOG NEWS|GAROWE: Somalia’s Puntland state President Said Abdullahi Deni has today arrived in Garowe, following his visit to Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, where he had been in the last few days.

Ready to receive Deni at Garowe International Airport were his deputy Ahmed Elmi Osman Karaash, members of both houses of the Puntland parliament and military officials.

President Said Deni left Mogadishu for Nairobi immediately after the conclusion of the Somali presidential election, of which he was one of the contestants.

According to reports, the Puntland Head of State and his Vice President Ahmed Elmi Osman patched up their differences a few hours before the latter jetted into the country. The two had been embroiled in a bitter dispute after Karaash assumed the presidency while Deni was out in Mogadishu campaigning, accusing him of abandoning his duties.

Sources close to the Puntland presidency have hinted that Deni is reportedly planning to make some reshuffling in his Cabinet, with changes also expected in the Puntland administration.
