Puntland announces election schedule for 16 seats

GOOBJOOG NEWS/GAROWE: The Puntland State Electoral Committee has announced the names of the traditional elders and civil society members who will select the delegates for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Bossaso.

The Electoral Committee has also announced that elections for the 16 seats are set to run for two consecutive days, March 5-6.

Puntland State is among the administrations that failed to meet the February 25 deadline, and is now scrambling to secure the election of the 11th House of the People of the Federal Parliament before the expiry of the new timeline, March 15th.
