Puntland forces nab 25 Al-Shabaab, ISIS suspects in Bosaso

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BOSASO:    Puntland forces arrested 25 people Monday night suspected to belong to the militant groups Al-Shabaab and ISIS.

The operation which spread to homes and hotels in Bosaso led to the arrest of the suspects whom police said had linked to the outlawed militant groups.

Bari Regional Police Commander Hussein Ali Mohamud told journalists the suspects will be held in custody to pave way for investigations.

The arrests follow attacks in the region in recent weeks by elements belong to both Al-Shabaab and ISIS.

Galgala mountains in Bari region is the headquarters of ISIS Somalia following its founding there in 2015 by the former UK based preacher Abdulqadir Mumin.
