Puntland Police Arrest Friday Night Murder Suspect in Garowe

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GAROWE: Police in Garowe, Puntland have arrested a suspect behind the killing of a man Friday night.

Nugaal regional police command said the man was arrested following investigations into the shooting death of a man last night. “The Puntland Police Force, specifically the Nugal Regional Police Command, has confirmed that security forces have succeeded in arresting a suspect in a murder that took place in Garowe city.”

The suspect, Abuukar Ahmed Diiriye is accused on shooting Abdisalam Mohamed Omar Friday at about 7pm in Sodonka street, police said noting officers launched rapid investigations which zeroed in on the suspect.

The circumstances surrounding the killing remained unclear.
