Puntland President set to leave for the UAE today 

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GAROWE: Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni and a delegation led by him will be leaving for the United Arab Emirates today.

Credible sources in the Puntland presidency say the trip is politically motivated, coming days after Said Deni said he had not been consulted on the appointment of Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.

Reports have also hinted that the Puntland President will also travel to Nairobi, after his trip to the UAE, where he will hold private meetings with Kenyan government officials and some former Puntland politicians based in Kenya.

His trip to the UAE comes a few days after President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud also visited the Arab country on June 19, some ten days after he was sworn into office.
