The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), which is known to carry out the strikes, has not commented on the incident. The strikes come a day after AFRICOM said it killed 14 ISIS militants in a February 1 strike.
Among those killed was Ahmed Maeleninine, a key ISIS recruiter, financier, and external operations leader responsible for the deployment of jihadists into the United States and across Europe, according to AFRICOM.
Puntland said up to 200 ISIS militants have been killed since the operations started last year.
