Puntland warns of heavy rains in Qardho district

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GAROWE: Puntland government has warned of heavy rains set to hit Qardho district in Bari region and other parts of the state.

The Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management said that heavy rains were expected in Qardho district this week through the end of the month.

The Ministry has also directed residents in urban, rural and coastal areas to be wary of adverse weather conditions as rains continue to increase in the state.

Deaths and destruction of property are reported annually in Puntland during the rainy season as typhoons make their way inland.
