SNA kills 53 Al-Shabaab terrorists in a span of 48 hours in Hiran region

GOOBJOOG NEWS|BELETWEYNE: Somali National Army Forces have killed 53 Al-Shabaab terrorists in offensives against the group in the past 48 hours, SNA officials said to State Media.

The SNA added that several hideouts belonging to the group were destroyed and five villages liberated in the operation that was made possible with support from the locals in the Hiiraan region.

The army said it was able to retake Sagalged, Yasoman, and Aborey villages under Buloburde district in the Hiiraan region, hinting at continued offensives against the group until the area is completely rid of the terrorists. 

As more civilians continue to arm themselves and offer support to the military in the fight against Al-Shabaab, Abdimalik Abdalle, an elected official from the Hiiraan region is leading the fight against Alshabab terrorists in the villages under Buloburde district.
