SNA operation in Hiran region kills 12 Al-Shabaab fighters

GOOBJOOG NEWS|HIRAN: Somali National Army have on Monday launched another offensive against Alshabab terrorists in the villages under Mataban district of Hiran region, State Media has confirmed.

In the past 24 hours, a special operation carried out by the Army killed 12 Alshabab fighters who had set base near Qabdho village in the district of Mataban. 

During the operation, SNA troops were also able to destroy a base and a tax office belonging to the group where its members used to extort money from the locals.

SNA has vowed to continue crushing the terrorist group which still holds territory in the countryside and frequently attacks civilians, military and government targets in Mogadishu and elsewhere.
