Somali ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Tarsan to contest for senate in HirShabelle state

GOOBJOOG NEWS|JOWHAR: Somalia’s ambassador to Kenya Mohamed Nuur Tarsan will be contesting for a senate seat in HirShabelle state, the newly released list of candidates by president Ali Gudlawe reveals.
Tarsan who formerly served as the mayor of Mogadishu and political advisor to outgoing President Mohamed Farmaajo will be facing the current senator Dr. Osman Dufle. HirShabelle and the Somaliland caucus are the only constituencies that have not elected any senator.
Only seven women out of the 25 candidates will be contesting with only one seat set for women only.
