Somali National Army carry out operation in Hiran region

Deputy district commissioner Osman Gedi Elmi who spoke to the Goobjoog media said that security forces are doing operations to liberate Al-Shabaab hiding areas in the region.

The governor denied the report that Djiboutian forces had withdrawn from areas in Hiran region, citing that the news was propaganda by anti-government people.

Finally, the deputy chairman of the district Oman Gedi Elmi urged Somalis to work with the Armed Forces and, in order to prevent their attack prepared by the militant.

Al-Shabab has been making roadside bomb killing government soldiers and Hirshabelle parliamentarians recently along johar and ballad road.
