Somali Police Link Al-Shabaab to Mogadishu Blast that Killed 5

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Somali Police Force have linked the Al-Shabaab militants to an explosion that killed 5 civilians and injured 10 others at Heliwa District in Mogadishu Monday night.

According to the police report, the explosion was planted in the junction of SOS in Heliwa and the people affected were on a minibus and a Bajab motor bike.

Security forces at the scene provided emergency assistance to the people affected and are investigating the incident.

However, no group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.

Early this month, at least eight people were killed and 19 others injured in a series of bombings in the main Bakara market in Mogadishu.
