Somali special forces detonate massive bomb planted on a road in Kismayo

GOOBJOOG NEWS|KISMAYO: Somalia’s special forces, Danab, successfully defused a bomb device planted by Khawarij on the road between Dhayabdi and Qura’Madobe villages on the northern outskirt of Kismayo, on Monday morning.

The explosive device would have caused damage of a great magnitude if it had gone off as intended by the militant group, which has continued to make the lives of civilians unbearable with its terrorist activities.

The discovery and subsequent detonation of the ordinance comes barely a day after another massive explosive device was discovered by sleuths in Afgoye, Lower Shabelle region.

Police said they intercepted a rickshaw loaded with explosive devices and arrested two suspects believed to be members of Khawarij.
