Somalia Condemns Killing of Hormuud Company Employees

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Federal Government of Somalia has condemned the killing of Hormuud Company employees by suspected Al-Shabaab militants.

The six people died after their vehicle hit a roadside Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the outskirts of Mogadishu on Sunday.

In a statement, the Federal Government said the attack against the six civilians shows the brutality of the group which target civilians indiscriminately.

It adds that the Federal Government will not be deterred in its resolve to weed out members of the group in all parts of Somalia so as to enable a peaceful environment for its citizens.

“We are calling on our noble people to fully support the government in order to eliminate these enemies of the atheists,” the statement further reads.

The government also sent its deepest condolences to the management and operators of the Hormuud Company, the relatives and friends of the deceased and the general public of Somalia.
