GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Yusuf Mohamed Adan, on Saturday launched a training program for government ministries and agencies aimed at implementing the country’s new Civil Service Pay and Grading Policy.

Speaking at the inauguration in Mogadishu, Adan said the initiative marks a major step toward building a transparent, fair, and professional public sector.

The training targets sub-committees across various government bodies and is designed to standardize salary structures, promote accountability, and strengthen institutional performance.

“The Civil Service Pay and Grading Policy is critical to ensuring that public service delivery is driven by merit and fairness,” Adan said.

The reform is part of broader efforts by the Federal Government to modernize Somalia’s civil service and improve governance across all sectors.
