Somalia Participates in the 3rd Arab Land Conference in Morocco

GOOBJOOG NEWS | RABAT: Somalia is actively taking part in the 3rd Arab Land Conference in Rabat, Morocco, alongside ministers from Arab League countries and representatives from the United Nations, World Bank, and the Arab League.

The two-day event focuses on advancing innovation and modernization in land management while addressing pressing challenges related to housing, urban planning, and land disputes.

Dr. Elmi Mohamud Nur, Somalia’s Minister of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing, is leading the country’s delegation.

In his opening address, Dr. Elmi emphasized the need for a structured, knowledge-based, and technology-driven approach to land governance to ensure sustainable development in Somalia and across the Arab world.

The conference serves as a platform for nations to collaborate on effective land policies and solutions for urban expansion and land disputes.

Somalia’s Ministry of Public Works remains committed to sharing its experiences and strengthening cooperation with Arab nations to enhance land and housing management strategies.
