Somaliland arrests UAE nationals

Somaliland police have arrested 9 UAE nationals at the Egal airport this morning.

According to reports, the men were to hunting and have been in the area for some time in hunting areas. The director of the Somaliland Ministry of Wildlife, Naasir Hussein, said the 9 UAE men were poaching illegally in Somaliland.

He said the men will be brought under the law as they have committed abuses and hunting in Somaliland’s territories, without any legal status.

Images posted on social media show the men on the outskirts of Egal airport, taking by police vehicles, and also blocked from flying to Dubai this morning.
