Somaliland caucus to vote for 16 more MPs this week-SIET

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Somaliland delegates will vote for a further 16 MPs this week taking to close to 23 the number of seats which will have been filed by the end of the week.

The State Indirect Elections Team (SIET) Wednesday released 16 seats to be contested this week and urged clan elders to start the selection of delegates who will in turn elect the MPs.

Somaliland has so far elected eight MPs among them deputy prime minister and outgoing senate speaker Abdi Hashi.
