Somaliland police arrest man suspected of killing colleague

GOOBJOOG NEWS|HARGEISA: Somaliland police on Friday night arrested a man identified as Baashe Faarah Abdi who is the prime suspect in the killing of his fellow worker in Hargeisa, the capital of the breakaway Somali region.

Police said the suspect attacked Jimaale Rashid Hassan with a knife last night at around 2:30 a.m. while he was sleeping.

According to police, the two, who worked in the same restaurant in town, are said to have had long-running disputes between them, which unfortunately tipped over the iceberg last night, resulting in the death of Hassan.

The suspect is said to have escaped from the scene after committing the evil act, only to be nabbed by police following a thorough search conducted in collaboration with members of the public.
