Somaliland set to elect 5 MPs in Mogadishu today

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MOGADISHU: The Northern Electoral Implementation Committee of the Northern Regions of Somaliland is today holding elections for 5 seats in the House of the People at the General Kahiye Police Training School, Mogadishu.

Security has been beefed up in the capital city with some of the main roads closed, while roadblocks have been erected in all roads leading to the General Kahiye Training school.

Below are the seats up for election and the names of the sitting MPs:

1. HOP#240: Suri Dirie Arab.

2. HOP#241: Abdirizak Dahir Mohamud.

3. HOP#263: Muse Said Jama.

4. HOP#271: Abdirahman Mohamud Aateye.

5. HOP#205: Sahro Abdulkadir Abdirahman.
