Talks between Federal government and Puntland opens in Garowe

Three days talks between the federal government of Somalia and semi autonomous regional state of Puntland opened in Garowe on Saturday.
The aim of the talks is to solve the difference between the sides including federalism, oil exploration and foreign aid.
Somali Prime minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed, Puntland president Abdiweli Gaas, ministers and lawmakers who accompanied Somali Prime minister are attending the meeting.
The overall security of the Garowe district was tightened as Puntland forces are seen patrolling the main streets and other institutions of the administration.
Puntland has cut ties with the federal government following the announcement of the formation of new administration in Central regions of Somalia.
