Three killed, four injured in tragic Burao accident

GOOBJOOG NEWS/HARGEISA: Three people have been confirmed dead and four others injured in a car accident which occurred near the Isha Burao hotel in Burao.

The accident took place after a motorcycle and a truck came into a head-on collision resulting in the deaths and injuries of the victims.

Somaliland traffic police officers arrived at the scene, and together with locals, helped rush the injured to Burao City Hospital and thereafter cleared the mess created by the morning accident.

The accident comes barely a day after another road carnage claimed the lives of three people on the road between Burao and Berbera in Togdheer region of Somaliland.

Accidents along the Burao, Berbera road have been blamed on over speeding and underage driving, with Somaliland forces set to start investigations into the cause of the accident.
