NO CHALLENGE: Six candidates elected senators in Galmudug after all rivals withdraw

GOOBJOOG NEWS/DHUSAMAREB: All the first six candidates in the Galmudug Senate Elections were elected unopposed after their rivals pulled out of the race in what mirrors a near similar scenario during rhe Puntland elections Wednesday.
Four of the senators-elect were in the tenth parliament while either as Senators or MPs. Only two are new Senators. Two women were elected adding to eight the total number of women elected so far in three Federal Member States.
The following is the list of the first six senators-elect for Galmudug state:
1. Abdi  Ahmed Dhuhulow- re elected after withdrawal of  Nuur Hasan Gutale

2. Yuusuf Geelle Ugaas- re-elected after withdrawal of Daahir Faarah Fiidow

3. Said Siyaad Shirwah- (new Senator)was elected after withdrawal of Mohamed Daahir Mohamed

2. Samsam Daahir Mohamud- re elected after withdrawal of Farhiyo Maxamed Guure

Abdihakim Maalin Ahmed-former lower house MP in the 10th Parment. His competitor Ismahaan Abdi Hussein withdrew

Duniyo Mohamed Ali- MP in the 10th parament,  was elected after withdrawal of Qadro Abdullahi Isaaq
