Two lawmakers injured in grenade attack in Jowhar

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Two regional members of parliament were injured Tuesday night in a grenade attack in Jowhar town as elections for remaining two senators concluded.
The two lawmakers-Abdirahman Idow and Mohamed Dheere were injured after a hand grenade was reportedly hurled at the house of Jowhar mayor where the lawmakers were in. The attack is the second one in about a month. Three regional MPs were injured last month after a similar grenade attack at an administrator’s residence.
The militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
