UCID party chairman in Sool region shot dead

GOOBJOOG NEWS|LAS ANOD: Gunmen shot dead Mohamed Ahmed Farah (Aflahar), the chairman of the UCID party in Sool region in Las Anod Monday night.

According to reports, the assailants shot dead Aflahaar as he was entering his residence and immediately fled the scene.

UCID Party Chairman Eng. Faisal Ali Warabe and members of the party’s executive committee have sent their condolences to the family and friends of the late Mohamed Ahmed Farah.

On Thursday, the UCID party leader warned that the security of the Somaliland opposition was not guaranteed, following a gunfire exchange involving police at the residence of Waddani presidential candidate Irro, adding that the incident compelled them to hire security guards.
