A government soldier shot dead in Sinai Junction, Mogadishu

A government soldier has been shot dead by armed men at a Sinai junction in the capital Mogadishu.

Eyewitnesses told Goobjoog News armed men carrying pistols shot at the officer and fled away from the scene.

Security officials cordoned off the area and investigations are underway where so many young men were arrested for the incident.

The motive of the attack was not immediately clear but similar incidents have been reported in the city in the recent past.
