Deputy PM Jama Attends Graduation Ceremony of SNA’s Danab Commandos
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama, accompanied by Defense Minister Abdikadir Mohamed Nur, attended the graduation ceremony of the 11th cohort of the Danab Commando Forces on Sunday at Balidoogle Camp.
The new graduates completed their training at the Hassan Ture Military Training School and are expected to bolster the national army’s efforts in combating terrorism, particularly the fight against the militant group Al-Shabaab.
Speaking at the ceremony, Somali National Army Commander Major General Odawa Yusuf Rage emphasized the pivotal role of the Danab Commandos in counterterrorism operations, noting that the fresh cohort would inject renewed vigor into the ongoing security efforts.
In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Jama underscored the vital contribution of the Danab forces to national security and reaffirmed the federal government’s unwavering commitment to supporting the armed forces.
General Odawa also inspected various military units at the camp, offering words of encouragement to the newly trained soldiers and highlighting the critical role the Danab Commandos play in safeguarding Somalia’s sovereignty.
