Galkacyo area MPs file motion against Galkacyo Mayor

Galkacyo the capital city of Galmudug area MPs have filed a motion against the mayor of Galkayo town to dismiss him from the office of the administrative capital of Puntland.

Abdiwahid Ahmed Mohammed, one of the members of the council, told Goobjoog News, that the mayor of Galkacyo town is in violation against the laws and the law of their council.

The Mp also described that the mayor of Galkacyo did not address the need of the public in the town and therefore we will dismiss him from the office as soon as possible.

“We are clear with the law to bring a motion from the mayor to dismiss him from the office without any intervention with the law,” said Abdiwahid Abdi.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Puntland, Mohamud Yasin Tumen, has not yet commented on the motion.
