Jalalaqsi DC Says His Town Lacks Basic Services
Reports from Hiraan region state that Jalalaqsi town is facing lack basic services like health care and other important government services.
Jalalaqsi district commissioner, Mohamed Abdullahi Fiidow has told Joobjoog News that severe acute malnutrition remains one of the most critical issues facing children of jalalaqsi town.
“The residents are lacking facilities such as proper healthcare and additional to that new cases of malaria are reported” he said.
He added “people here need help, nowadays disease mortality rates among children in the town have been increased due to lack of proper health care”
He said that apart from poor healthcare, the local residents living in this town are facing serious food shortage.
He noted that they tried their best cover the basic needs but still the situation is getting worse day after day.
Lastly Mr. Mohamed called upon the Somali federal government, well-wishers and NGOs to help these people before becomes tragic.
