Kenyan Soldiers Killed in Mandera IED Blast

At least one Kenyan soldier killed and seriously injured several others after a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) targeted a military vehicle near the lafey town of Mandera county Kenya.
The vehicle was in a convoy on patrol when it was hit by the IED, causing a massive explosion, witnesses said.
Witnesses said that they saw the bodies of Kenyan soldiers badly injured in the explosion. The IED destroyed the vehicle, killing the soldiers instantly.
The al-Shabab militant group has claimed the responsibility for the explosion by killing dozens of Kenyan soldiers in the explosion.
Kenyan officials have said that the blast was a result of the attack on a military convoy late evening of yesterday.
