President Farmajo meets with Djiboutian delegation
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, received the delegation from the Djiboutian Republic of Djibouti on the occasion of the Day of Independence of Southern Regions and the union of north and south of the 1st of July.
The President said, “The relationship between the two brotherly nations share objectives of the peace progress, unity and share same interest between the two countries which are based on the long history of the two nations.”
The president said; “as the head of the Federal Republic of Somalia, I thank you for being our brothers and taking part of the 58th anniversary incurred over the freedom of South and the union of both the southern and northern regions. Djibouti is a country that we are brothers, and always ready to support us. ”
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo thanked Djibouti President Ismail Omar Gelle for his contribution to peace and state building in Somalia and acknowledged that the Somali people are rewarded for their brotherhood.
The Djiboutian delegation who met with the President, including the Minister of Defense and Communications of Djibouti, diplomats from the Djiboutian embassy in Mogadishu, artists from the Djibouti Armed Forces and military officers.
The meeting was also attended by the PM of the Republic of Somalia Hassan Ali Kheyre, Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia Mohamed Mursal Abdirahman, Mogadishu mayor and governor of the Banadir administration Abdirahman Omar Osman and other government officials.
