President Hassan: The pledges of international donors to the government was not met as was expected
The president of the republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has taken meeting with Banadir regional administration officials in Huriwaa district, the meeting was attended by ministers, lawmakers and other invited guests.
Banadir regional governor and mayor of Mogadishu Hassan Mohamed Hussein Muungaab delivered a long speech in the meeting and welcomed the guests attending the meeting.
He thanked president Hassan Sheikh of taking such important meeting with Banadir administration and its workers describing it as an encouragement to the workers to double their efforts.
President Hassan who addressed the meeting briefed the situation in the country and the efforts of the government to ensure the security, stability and full preparation for fair and free 2016 elections.
Somali president stated that the pledges of international donors to the government was not met as was expected adding that the received amount was used for rebuilding and regeneration of the devastated government institutions.
He urged the public to collaborate with security forces so as curb the insecurity in the country especially the capital and take part in the rebuilding activities.
Finally interior minister and federalism Abdullahi Qodah Barre, among the delegates attending the meeting urged Banadir administration to continue and double the progress on stabilization and beautification of the capital city that has taken a new face.
