Puntland Deputy President lays foundation stone for a new bridge in Sool region

Puntland Deputy President Abdihakin Abdullahi Haji Omar Amey alongside with senior officials of his government has on Wednesday laid foundation stone for a new bridge between Falaydhyale and Godqababo village.

The deputy and the current acting president of Puntland accompanied by cabinet ministers, members of the Parliament and as well as officials from Puntland Highways Authority attended ground breaking ceremony for the new bridge.

After the groundbreaking, The deputy President called on the contracting company that had won the tender to deliver on its promises.

Similarly deputy President Amey urged the local residents of the nearby villages to cooperate with the company in charge of the construction.

Rehabilitation of the road that connects Falaydhyale and Godqababo villages is expected to follow according the deputy President of Puntland.

Focused on building a long lasting infrastructure in a bid to improve the economy of the Somali semi autonomous, the local people of these village have expressed a strong sense of gratitude for the government and assured their cooperation with the company.
