Somaliland, Puntland and Galmudug elect nine MPs

GOOBJOOG NEWS|SOMALIA: Nine MPs have since been elected in three constituencies today in ongoing Lower House elections.

Somaliland elected three MPs among them one woman. They are Ifrah Mohamed Awad, Said Mohamed Mohamud and Ismail Sheikh Bashir

In Puntland, three MPs have also been elected since morning. Like Somaliland, one woman was elected. Those elected from Puntland are Mohamed Abdirahman Hayle, Hirsi Jaamah Gaani and Fardowsa Osman Egal.

Galmudug also elected three MPs among them former Banaadir regional police boss Sadak Omar John. Others are Mohamed Ibrahim Ali and a female, Qaali Ahmed Diiriye.

Galmudug is yet to elect one more MP for today.
