Speaker Madobe condoles with Somalia’s 2nd Deputy Speaker over loss of younger brother

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Sheikh Aden Mohamed (Madobe), has condoled with the second Deputy Speaker of Somalia’s Lower House, Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, over the killing of his younger brother in Mogadishu, Monday morning.

Abdirahman Omar Abshirow, was shot and killed by armed gunmen, who immediately fled the scene after committing the heinous act in Mogadishu’s Dharkenley district, according to witnesses.

A Twitter post by Speaker Madibe said; “I am sending my deepest condolences to the 2nd Deputy Chairman of the BJFS People’s Assembly Mr. Abdullahi Omar Abshirow whose brother Abdirahman Omar Abshirow was killed by armed groups this morning in Dharkeynley District of Mogadishu.”

“I am praying to God to shower water from his paradise, the family, relatives and all the Somali nation to give us patience and faith in God”, added the statement by Speaker Madobe.

Preliminary investigations by police have yielded no fruit, as no one has yet been apprehended for the killing of the young man said to have recently graduated from university, but it is hoped that the killers will soon be brought to book
