Turkish Military Cargo Plane Lands in Mogadishu amid Limited Details

Storyline:National News

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: A Turkish military cargo aircraft has landed at Aden Adde International Airport, with government officials yet to disclose details about its mission or cargo.

Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 showed the aircraft departed from Turkey and also made a stop in Djibouti before arriving in Mogadishu.

No official statement has been issued on the purpose of the flight, and it remains unclear what the aircraft was transporting.

Turkey is a key partner to Somalia, maintaining one of its largest overseas military training bases in Mogadishu and providing ongoing support in security, infrastructure and humanitarian assistance.

Such flights have in the past been linked to logistical deliveries, training support or aid shipments, though authorities have not confirmed whether this latest arrival is part of those efforts.

The landing comes amid continued security cooperation between Somalia and its international partners, as the government works to strengthen its security forces and stabilisation operations across the country.
